Il primo centro con tutti i servizi utili, come supermercati, negozi, ristoranti e pizzerie, è quello di Canneto a circa 7 Km, mentre il Centro Storico di Lipari si trova a circa 10 Km di distanza. Ad Acquacalda sono comunque presenti: bar - ristoranti - piccolo bazar con beni di prima necessità e un lido attrezzato.
Per gli spostamenti sull'isola si può usufruire del collegamento regolare con bus di linea (più frequenti nel periodo estivo) o di taxi, oltre ad avere la possibilità di noleggiare scooter o auto.

The first center with all useful services, such as supermarkets, shops, restaurants and pizzerias, is that of Canneto at about 7 km, while the historic center of Lipari is about 10 km away. In Acquacalda, however, there are: bars - restaurants - a small bazaar with basic necessities and an equipped beach.
To travel around the island, you can take advantage of the regular connection by bus (more frequent in the summer) or by taxi, as well as having the possibility to rent scooters or cars.
